UNICEF estimates that 1.2 million children are trafficked annually. That means that every minute two more children are sold into sexual slavery. A majority of them are in their early teens. Some are as young as 5.
50% of the sales of these birds will be donated to support the efforts of Love146 as they work toward the abolition of child sex trafficking and exploitation through prevention and aftercare. Love146 builds safehomes where rescued victims are given food, shelter, medical care, vocational training, counseling, and education. The organization also trains aftercare workers, aids socioeconomic development programs in high risk communities, and raises awareness worldwide about this modern day slavery.
